Ideas on Building a Decentralized Writing Platform on Lens

Just realized that the author of The Share, a writing platform on Lens (https://theshr.xyz/), has abandoned it.

According to the founder, copying a Medium-like platform on the blockchain will not be successful.

Personally, I don't think Lens is suitable for building a decentralized writing platform. Lens aims to enable data sharing among different frontend applications. While it provides clear definitions and restrictions for content like images and videos, it is more flexible when it comes to long articles. This leads to multiple implementation methods for article-based applications, and customizing the integration of these applications requires extra effort, making it less user-friendly. These applications become isolated and it's difficult to attract organic traffic, which goes against the intended effect of Lens.

Currently, the most popular decentralized writing platform is Mirror. If Lens can standardize the specifications for long articles in the future, it may challenge Mirror's position and attract its users to the Lens platform. However, at this stage, Lens is not the best choice for building a decentralized writing platform.
